Genital Aesthetic Procedures Performed with Laser
External genital area whitening
In women, darkening in the genital area can occur, especially due to hormonal changes, pregnancy, childbirth, wrong underwear choice and with the progression of age.
Genital area whitening or intimate area whitening is one of the issues that many women who experience this are most curious about. This complaint can be resolved by more than one method. One of the most preferred methods is laser whitening. With today's technology, this has become possible. External genital whitening is the procedure of renewing the area by sending rays to the darkened area with a fractional CO2 laser device. It is not a painful procedure. There are no side effects. It is performed in 2 or 3 sessions. The procedure takes 10-15 minutes. Patients can return to their daily lives immediately after the procedure. It is a comfortable and safe operation. After the procedure, the patient's quality of life and self-confidence increases.
Vagina tightening
With numerous births, hormonal changes, advanced age, weakening of muscle and connective tissue in the vagina area, loss of elasticity can be observed. This situation can lead to many problems such as urinary incontinence in women and inability to enjoy sexual intercourse.
Many women who are afraid of having vagina tightening surgery continue to live with this problem. However, it is possible to tighten the vagina without surgery. With the thermal (heating) and ablative effects of laser light, the vagina tissue can be renewed, rejuvenated and tightened without the need for surgery.
Especially in patients with few problems of vaginal enlargement and sagging, vaginal tightening with a laser can be quite useful at first step. The advantages of laser vagina tightening can be listed as follows;
- It is indolent and painless
- Absence of risks related to surgery
- Immediately after the procedure, the patient can return to daily work and social life
- Prohibition of sexual intercourse is only 1 week
Urinary incontinence
Urinary incontinence is a problem that is quite common among women and reduces the quality of life. Urinary incontinence, the risk of which usually increases with age, can also be observed, albeit slightly, in young women. One of the preferred methods for the treatment of urinary incontinence is laser treatment. Laser urinary incontinence treatment, which has begun to be applied more frequently in recent years, gives very effective results in moderate and mild urinary incontinence.
The advantage of laser urinary incontinence treatment is that effective results are obtained in a short time and the risk of infection is minimal, since there is no surgical intervention.
Genital wart
Genital warts are most commonly seen due to a sexually transmitted virus called Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). When deciding on the treatment method to be preferred for genital warts, their size and prevalence are examined.
If genital warts are large in size and not prevalent, laser treatment may be sufficient. In laser treatment, treatment is started with a thin long instrument called fractional laser. The base of the genital warts is heated and dried with laser beams and no damage to the surrounding tissue occurs. In the treatment of genital warts with a laser, small wounds may occur in the patient, since the wart root is completely removed, but these wounds heal in a short time.
Vaginal dryness
Vaginal dryness is a disorder that can be experienced during menopause due to reasons such as estrogen deficiency, working in a stressful job, vaginal infections or frequent washing of the vagina. Vaginal dryness is a problem that is quite problematic, especially for women with active sex lives, as it causes pain during intercourse.
Treatment of vaginal dryness is carried out according to the state of the vagina. In general, estrogen increasing medications or creams are the first methods that come to mind. However, in patients who cannot use estrogen, treatment of vaginal dryness with a laser can be resorted to which is one of the most risk-free methods.
In laser treatment for vaginal dryness, tissue stimulation with laser beams is provided at a microscopic level. This stimulation allows new blood vessels to form in the tissue. Thus, the healing and balancing feature of the body's mucous membranes is activated again. The changes in the vaginal tissue initiate the production of collagen and elastin, and the effect is experienced even in a single session.
